Here's a cool juggling pattern j3h
invented tonight. It's got a good mix of ability levels, and it involves passes with both hands:
Five people arrange themselves like so:
A B C
A does a 3-count feed to D and E (D self self E self self).
B does 3-count to D, starting on beat 2 (self D self self D self).
C does a 3-count feed to E and D (E self self D self self).
D does a 2/3 sweep feed to A, B, and C (A B self C B self).
E does a 3-count feed to C and A (C self self A self self).
This is actually a lot easier than it sounds. I've only tried positions D and E. To my surprise, D was easier. A turned out to be harder than C, because A requires a long left handed pass, and C requires a long right handed pass.
We briefly tried starting the pattern halfway through (on the beat where D and C pass, and A and E pass). Effectively this reverses everybody's handedness. For some reason that was a lot harder for the E position, and we weren't able to get it working. But we'd like to try it again some time.
If you are still reading this entry, you must be a juggler. So here's a challenge for you. Help us come up with a name for this pattern.
