Pretty much everything went well today. I started by managing to solve a 4x4x4 rubik's cube for the first time ever (I had some help at the end from boojum
, but I believe I could reproduce what they did). This was followed by some juggling at the park, during which I acquired an audience of three little girls (aged 5-8 I think?) who asked me all about my juggling, then borrowed props and proceeded to demonstrate their own juggling skills. They weren't juggling per se, but for non-jugglers at that age, they weren't half bad. After the park, we had a nice snack of carrots, bread, hummus, and more hummus, talked about stuff, and then tagged along while j3h
bought a washer and dryer.
Later, at stacy_bird
's housewarming party, I had a moment of absolute and utter bliss. I'm not sure exactly what brought it on. It probably had something to do with the fact that I'd just juggled with John, and then had some delicious kebabs and some black bean soup. In any case, I was standing in the kitchen, with the buzz of conversation to my left, and the music from Princess Mononoke to my right, thinking "my life couldn't possibly get any better than this".
Later I had some beer and wine and a chocolate cookie, played some hits from '93-'94 on the piano, got to cuddle up on the couch with two pretty women, and then rode my bike home through the warm night air.
I really must find a way to have more delightful days like this!
