Weekend, part II
I never got a chance to blog about the awesome second half of my weekend. It consisted of:
Programming (for fun, not for work)
Tango class
Hanging out with, and playing music with, Seamus
I think I've hit another milestone in tango, a milestone which I call "not feeling like a boring leader anymore". Thanks in part to learning some turns, and thanks in part to the fact that I was really feeling the music, I felt like I could actually create an entire song's worth of dance steps that didn't seem dry and repetitive. And all the dances I had were working, even the ones with beginners.
At the end of class Joe and Jenna always leave some music going for about 5-10 minutes so that we can dance a little longer. Usually after class I am mentally exhausted, so I only keep dancing if someone talks me into it. But on Sunday, I felt like I could keep going for hours more.
I think I'm going to have to find another spot in my schedule for tango dancing.
